Since you’ve gone we don’t walk past your apple tree any more
Or if we do we stop & say hello
& sometimes when it rains I stand outside the kitchen door
& down my face I let the raindrops flow
I pretend that they’re messengers from you

So if you observe that my cheeks are both wet
